
Amber Votel is a creative, multi-talented designer and stylist, hailing from the East coast of Florida. Amber brings a refined eye and youthful spirit to a variety of fields, including jewelry and costume design, styling for print, commercial and film, and art direction.
After earning a BA in Art History from the University of Central Florida, Amber was inspired to combine her knowledge of history and aesthetics with her love for creating sculptural wearable art. She moved to New York, and achieved a certificate in Accessories Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Amber quickly gained valuable experience working in several different contexts, honing her creative talents in the magazine world as a market editor and stylist assistant for top titles including Harper’s Bazaar, German Vogue, Lucky and Purple, and as an editorial stylist for Nylon, A4 and Zink. She also ventured into advertising, styling for clients such as Anthropologie and Pescriptives, and has worked for over nine seasons as a backstage coordinator and stylist assistant for major fashion shows during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York. Amber recently relocated to Los Angeles where she continues to pursue her love for sourcing new trends and bringing them to life in new ways. Taking inspiration from geometry, pattern, nature and travel, Amber’s art and design work ranges from jewelry, embroidery, painting, collage and custom costume pieces.
Amber is currently a Creative Director at The Other House, a cutting edge creative development and production company.
